Getting To Mykonos - Airfare, Ferry Boats, Flights

Mykonos Airport

The Mykonos airport is 3 km north of the main town Hora-Mykonos, with direct flights to and from Athens, Thessaloniki and many European countries via Olympic Airways and Aegean Airlines. There are also many direct charter flights in summer to Mykonos from various countries in Europe. Flight time from Athens to Mykonos is about 45 minutes. Buses run between the airport and the capital, Mykonos Town.

By Ferry

The old port is in Mykonos Town; the new port 1 km north of Mykonos Town Hora in Tourlos. Beware the hordes of rapacious room touts who crowd around you as you disembark. Better to have booked rooms in advance with a reputable travel agent as even on-line hoteliers dont really offer you any savings on Mykonos.

There are daily ferries and hi-speed catamarans daily from Piraeus and Paros.

From the port of Rafina (east of Athens), ships and hovercrafts take between 2-4 hours to Mykonos, though traveling less frequently than the ferries.
